I came to this school in Summer 2009 and studied for 1 year. At the beginning, I spoke just some phrases.Today, I can every whole conversations in Japan. I like this school because it is reasonably small, so every teacher knows you. Also they take time to explain everything, if you need even after school. As an European, it was good because it doesn?t have so many English speakers. In the great time, I had to speak Japanese. And it helped me improve my Japanese. But don?t worry, if you are in need, all of the teachers speak a bit of English.
Ever since receiving an assignment in high school about Japanese history, I have been interested in Japan's culture and language. I started reading books about Japan and watching TV shows, which increased my interest to the point that I started studying Japanese for one year. While I was sad to leave my country and family behind, I arrived in Japan lokking for new and warm relations. I found these among my teachers and classmates at the school.
My first contact with anybody was at the school's reception, when one of the teachers welcomed me with kindness. To this day, I have such strong memories of my experience. The people I met at the school became my Japanese family, and I would wake up everyday looking forward to the moment when I would arrive at the school.
Not everything was studying. I also enjoyed the school excursions that exposed me and my classmates to various aspects of Japanese culture. Thanks to my teachers, my language abilities increased fast. My plant is to join a business program, and I am grateful for the great experience and friends I made at Toyo Gaigo school. I have the greatest respect for the faculty. Arigatou gozaimasu!
When I came to Japan, I had no knowledge of the Japanese language and started from the absolute beginners level. After completing the first 3-month cycle, I was able to read, write and talk to people. My dream of knowing Japanese culture and history in more detail became true.
All the teachers are nice and helpful, take their time to explain grammar and have a system to help memorizing Kanji.
Everyone at System Toyo Gaigo offered support in every aspect of my life. They helped me find accommodation, dealing with the authorities, especially about visa issues, and fostering an international environment where one can make many friends with people from so many nations.
I became a student at Toyo Gaigo in April of 2008. I was initially worried about my language abilities, but the principle and faculty were incredibly helpful, and I was happy to pass the ni-kyu proficiency test by December of 2008.
Not everything was studies though. I participated in many activities, athletic events, and I hope that everyone is able to enjoy their life in Japan as much as I did. I have to thank my teachers who gave me the skills to enjoy my time so much.
Coming everyday to school was great to build up my confidence in my language skills. I hope to see you soon here!
Before coming to Japan, I had only studied Japanese for three months. I was therefore very anxious about how things would turn out for me.
Our classes were divided by levels, from beginners to advanced students, and we met in small groups to hone our language skills. There was considerable room to tailor the exams and classes to each person's objectives, and the enthusiasm of my fellow students definitely had an effect on me.
On the other hand, the school staff was helpful with my everyday life, and I felt safe and comfortable in Japan. Toyo Gaigo had plenty of activities to introduce us to Japanese culture. We went to watch sumo, participated in athletic events, cultural exchanges, practiced karate and kendo, and many other fun experiences.
I am glad I chose Toyo Gaigo for my study abroad, and I hope we can all pursue our dreams!
I came to Toyo Gaigo to prepare myself to take the entrance exams for Japanese universities. It has been about a year since I came, and I am currently preparing myself to take the i-kyu Japanese proficiency test.
I have found it challenging at times to do part-time work as well as prepare my exams, but the mock-exams we have done at school, as well as the support system have helped me tremendously.
To tell the truth, I first chose this school because there were few other Korean students, but now I am thankful of the staff, who helped me with my daily life, the teachers who tailored their instruction to help me meet my objectives, and the fun activities, such as visiting a sumo stable. I am very happy with my choice.
I came to Japan with the goal of enrolling in a CG animation technical school. I have been studying hard Japanese at Toyo Gaigo, and have also made many friends from around the world.
Being at the school, I realize that this is not a place only to learn Japanese, but also somewhere where I can broaden my options for the future.
I joined System Toyo in October 2008 and it has been such a fun and pleasant experience.
My purpose is to learn Japanese, because I really love Japan and I would like to live and work here, and at System Toyo Gaigo I found what I was looking for.
I came here from Italy alone, but as soon as I entered the school, I no longer felt alone.
Teachers and the staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. The students can ask them for advice every time about school, private life, tourism or whatever else; they're always there to help.
In a very short time I've been able to make new nice friends, meet interesting people and understand basic Japanese. Plus, the students at System Toyo come from many different countries, so a student is able not only to learn Japanese, but also some interesting hints of Japanese culture and come in contact with different cultures as well, such as Chinese and Korean, thanks to the massive presence of Asian students.
I highly recommend SYstem Toyo Gaigo to whomever wants to study Japanese, have fun and meet nice people.
